Each instrument keeps its own tuning and game setups.
Each instrument keeps its own capo. Notes keep the names they sound as, and your progress stays with each fret. Fretboard Notes plays without a capo.
Automatic stands the neck up, nut at the top, when the window is taller than it is wide, as on a phone.
- Plug the guitar straight into the interface's instrument (Hi-Z) input.
- Pedals, amp sims and modelers in front of the interface make notes harder to detect. Distortion and long reverb are the worst.
- With a modeler, send its dry DI signal to USB channels 1 or 2. Chrome reads only the first two channels of an interface.
Not calibrated yet. Until then, timing uses the browser's own latency estimate.
Patch a cable from the interface's output to its other input. The app plays 20 clicks and times them on that input, which measures the devices alone. Turn your speakers or headphones down first.
Turn Direct Monitor off on your audio interface first (usually a button marked Direct or Direct Monitor, or a Mix knob turned all the way to Playback). With it on, the interface sends the cable's input straight back out, so the clicks loop and the calibration fails.
